Comeraghs Wild Festival 2022

2022’s festival had the theme of Nature and I was asked by Kilmacthomas Social Enterprise group to create a taster walking tour that could be shortened to the visitors to experience on Saturday afternoon the 6th July. In my planning of this event, the group informed me that Irelands favourite Naturalist Éanna Ní Lamhna would be accompanying me on the walk sharing the tour experience with the visitors.

Heritage Week 2022

On the Evening of Wednesday August 17th, I provided a group of 10 attendees my walking tour around Kilmacthomas for 2 hours starting at the doors of the Public Library in Kilmacthomas village. This was to share all the local heritage, flora and fauna & intriguing stories with those that did the guided walk. The response was great and some fantastic reviews were left on Tripadvisor afterwards.

Many heritage week events were offered to the public throughout the country so the public could pick and choose which events to attend.

Positive Ageing Week 2022

Requested by Waterford Sports Partnership to run the walking tour for the purpose as an activity that any aged and ability of active person can do. Friday the 30th September 2022 a group of 15 persons met at the Greenway carpark next to the Workhouse and we commenced the full walking tour of 5km range. Everyone enjoyed the experience and the TripAdvisor reviews reflect this enjoyment too.

Adrian Dunbar’s : My Ireland 2022

Season two of this very successful TV travel programme was recorded this summer and Adrian Dunbar visited the heart of the award winning Waterford Greenway and I had the privilege in sitting down to chat to him in the public park at Kilmacthomas village about what the greenway means to the county and all the advantages it has brought to the area in the last 5 years.

Stunning views were captured of the famous Kilmacthomas viaduct which stood proudly in the backdrop at the public park. This new season will air in around the Autumn of 2022 on Channel 5 UK, and Virgin Media One in the spring of 2023.
